Stone Brewing County Session Ale

Stone Brewing Co.
Escondido, CA

Grade: B
Brewer: Stone, Ballast Point, Kelsey McNair
4.2% ABV
Style: American IPA
Serve in: Pint glass, shaker

With an aroma of grapefruit and christmas trees, this session brew gets you pretty inticed. The scent carries over somewhat well into the taste. Bitter grassy hops that remain oiled to your mouth, long after the sip is gone, as well as a juicy fruitiness. No malts whatsoever.

It’s crisp and the high carbonation makes it pretty refreshing. All things I would look for in a session beer. Though the body is slightly watery and its definitely lacking some depth, I enjoyed this combination attempt at a homebrew style ale. Not to mention its elegant bottle design. I prefer elegance when I drink alone. I’m lying. It’s pretty though.
